The only people i know who get lag issues around this time is because of their ISP not because of the game itself.
Creating conspiracies wont fix that.Chance are because its Winter season thre's a lot more activity with your ISP and they are throttling connections to certain locations.

Noticing a couple of people in my static also having issues with lag spikes and disconnects to just the instance server for Chaos, typically worse than how I usually am. I'm in America, the rest of them are in Britain and the Netherlands.

Also made an alt on the Primal datacenter, and still get more lag spikes and rubber banding over there.

My partner and I both have this problem since returning in early January, we'd been on a break since before 4.1 hit. Mostly visible in instanced areas rather than the open world. He's on PS4, I'm on PC. Our ISP is BT and we've had no problems other than this. I'm inclined to think it's the same issue as the subject of this thread.

4.15 is the Shirogane patch, right?

Since then my boyfriend and I experienced dcs several times a day, sometimes several times an hour. No latency though. We only ever dced from XIV, everything else was fine.

We bit the bullet and decided to get a new and powerful (and pretty expensive) router in the hope it would fix it. It did. We now get zero dcs. Our theory is that SE changed something with how packets are handled, likely to prevent DDOS, and our old router just didn't know how to handle it properly.

So if you got money to spare, maybe try this. Good luck to everyone trying to make their connection stable. I know your pain.

If people from different countries in Europe with different providers do have these huge problems since a certain patch than maybe just maybe this is not our fault..especially if other online games are playing fine..

I keep getting those random lag spikes few months now. This issue didn't resolve after 4.2 for me. I keep getting those spikes. My ping remains around 50-60ms but has really nasty spikes randomly. Maybe it's time they open an official feedback thread.

i have been having these lag spikes as well. It's bearable but it shouldn't be there in the first place.

Does this only affect certain servers or data centers? Some have it, some don't.

Since November (specifically since 4.15 ISP maintenance) I've been suffering this issue, I don't get why we don't have any official announcement taking in consideration the amount of reports this forum had (there are more posts about EU lag spikes). Seems like the support team blame our ISP, but hey, when 4 people from different EU countries have the same lag spike, at the same time, exactly from 4.15 server maintenance ... looks like our ISP is the problem.
