Metallic Red Dye = Lets be honest...its not red.

I'm going to start a Red Mage...I love Metallic dyes...so hey...I got purple..lets try red.

I'm sorry..but that's not red...that's like...rust...or...brick mud?

Surely they could find a way to make it a true red?

As in Red Mage Job gear you pick up at various stages..that's a TRUE red to me.

Metallic Red..isn't close.

Now this may be a repeat...or a rehash...anyone else have comments? Did SE say something about this in the past? Yes - Newbish here...

Metallic Red is more like a metallic pink.
If you want a red dye, try Wine Red or Dalamud Red. They aren’t metallic, but they are very nice dyes.
As far as I’m aware, the devs have never changed current dyes, only added new ones.
Try to calm down a little bit, though.

And it's unlikely they ever will. Why piss off the people that like the hue of a current dye when you can just add to the list and please both groups?

I mean, you seemed to get offended that no one or the mods themselves hadn’t personally addressed your thread.... especially considering all the stuff surrounding the most recent Live Letter and 4.2, people are a bit more concerned with the upcoming Patch as opposed to dyes right now....

Hence why I said to calm down a little bit. There’s nothing wrong with making a request, but to bump a thread a couple days later with the tone your post had is unnecessary. Even the tone of this response is unnecessarily hostile. O.o

I actually really like the Metallic Red dye because it really complements my character’s pale skin.
They could add a new Metallic Red and rename this one Metallic Pink. I don’t think I’d want them to change the dye itself.

Whats there to comment on? That you're wrong about it not being red? Metallic Red is red, its just not the red hue you want it to be. Colors haven't changed ever and SE rarely adds a new dye, but it does happen sometimes. Maybe there will be one more to your liking in the future.

Was more interested in historical track record....as I'm still relatively new to the game - figured someone had insight on it. I did give it a few days lol.

1: I made this thread in hopes of starting a discusison to learn more about WHY it is what it is.
2: No one touched it for few days...my response was one in humor and amazement. Did I expect mods to reply? No. I expected someone to say - yeah..old news...blah blah blah history...blah blah blah.

If nothing happened..nothing happened.
This is a forum board...I dont expect up front service. Otherwise Id not wait as long as I had before I said something.

This has nothing to do with the new patch. This is everything about the current subject matter...that being..metallic red..isn't really red.
That's it...no more...no less.
No conspiracy...no funny funny stuff. It is..what it is.
No bug report...no feature request.
More sanity check than anything to make sure i didn't go color blind :P

Now...that I've made myself perfectly clear...there shouldn't be anymore confusion on this.
So stop making things up and making assumptions...you'll end up in better shape in the long run.
