    We’re not talking about content you “can’t solo” here, we’re talking about content you can solo but due to one gimmick you can’t do it alone. You can solo every hard mode primal from ifrit to shiva, except Titan, not because he’s hard but because he traps you in a rock that instantly ends the instance. That’s not good design, if it’s a hard fight that you can’t manage alone, like trying to solo ravana ex, then that’s fine, rise to the challenge or bring a friend. But when it actually can’t be done, not because it’s hard, but because of the way it’s designed, that needs to be addressed.

    Nope, because the mechanic needs to be there so groups cant either kill it too easy. I mean look at all those zurvan farms etc, they can barely towers, good thing they are there.

    What's the difference between an instant-death mechanic and an attack that deals twice your HP in damage from the parties point of view?! Absolutely nothing. You'll die one way or another. However, the first one prevents the battle from being soloed when unsynched, while the latter does not.

    No one here is talking about removal of these mechanics. People just want them to be made in a way that they can be "brute-forced" with high enough level when doing the run unsynced. Nothing would ever change for an actual party running the instance as normal.

    I personally Solo things, because it's actually fun to do. I'm not all about doing things fast or being 1st. I'm about having fun. Waiting for a dungeon to pop isn't fun, but going in instantly Solo is. It's a new challenge where you have to deal with mechanics alone and that's all kinds of fun to try to survive. I agree if they add unsynced dungeons, raids & primals, they should consider adapting the instance for Soloing, maybe adding a 2nd version of the fight when you select unsynced that is for Soloing only which fixes traps like with Nidhogg.

    Stone Vigil Hard is soloable. Easiest to do as a healer because you have to keep at least one NPC alive.

    Pretty simple, for instance in Stone Vigil adjust the cannon power to the player level (in dungeon) divided by the number of party member.

    I know it is an old thread. But I ran into the same "problem" while doing this particular dungeon. You can queue indeed, but I understand it can be frustrating to lose 15 min because of a stupid boss hidden behind a mechanic wall while the others are not.

    For fights like this, the time sink is so high it isn't even worth it to do solo anymore. If you need the clear for whatever reason, then just run it synced with others.

    I learned this in FFXI when I soloed the Guardian Statue for my RDM pimp hat. It literally took around over an hour because you have to DoT it to death while keeping your distance running laps around the dungeon, but not so far that you lose aggro, and the statue heads off to despawn during which it regens the health that took you so long to deplete at an extremely high rate. Every server tick would erase about 20 minutes of work. Problem was, when I finally did it, I didn't have him targeted when the DoTs killed him so I didn't get the item I needed. It was all for nothing. There were about three other players who watched me do it, and I let them know the bad news. They invited me into their group, and we proceeded to kill the Statue in about two minutes. Done.

    Soloing things that you normally shouldn't be able to can be fun if it is simply for bragging rights. But I feel it also requires the boss to be a threat outside of a mechanic that is not meant to be handled solo. As an example I soloed Aurum Vale with my SCH at level 54 in non-augmented IW gear. It took me multiple tries because you have to do things like keep yourself healed, cause significant damage to the bosses, not let too many stacks of Golden Lung build up, and also have good timing so your are not interrupted by an auto attack when cleansing it. When I finally did it, I just barely beat the 90-minute timer. It was a ton of fun though figuring out how to do everything just right.

    For something like Titan's gaols in hard mode, it's the only way he is capable of winning. If your DPS is so high that he doesn't even get a chance to cast it, then it's not what I would call a challenging solo encounter.

    It’s silly that we can solo Titan ex but not Titan hard because when he gaols you in hard it resets the instance, it should be changed to work the same as ex where it’s a timed bomb. Or stone vigil hard where it’s impossible to get past the second boss solo because one cannon isn’t enough when at level 70 I should really be able to kill it myself without a cannon.

    Yes, I could do these things synced, or ask a friend to come and help me, but I don’t really want to waste my time in a duty queue for something I should easily be able to solo if not for gimmicky mechanics and I don’t want to waste my friends time running old content they get nothing out of for my glamour purposes just to get me past one thing.
    We are getting an npc party system next xpac. Use it.
