I was trying to farm lumber running SV Hard myself one night a few months back and the biggest irritation on the turtle was the damned NPCs. You failed if they died and they were tissue paper. Haven't tried it recently to see if that's still the case.Pretty simple, for instance in Stone Vigil adjust the cannon power to the player level (in dungeon) divided by the number of party member.
I know it is an old thread. But I ran into the same "problem" while doing this particular dungeon. You can queue indeed, but I understand it can be frustrating to lose 15 min because of a stupid boss hidden behind a mechanic wall while the others are not.
Why solo?
Maybe...
When friends are not online?
Losing one hour or more waiting the PF to be filled because nobody watch PF or is interested?
Where is this information posted that it's only for ShB dungeons? Because it wouldn't make ANY sense to have TRUST work only with new system when the dev stated that the TRUST system would become weaker as you progressed and leveled up and would be used mainly to help new players learn to work with others. Clearly if they were already at ShB, they wouldn't be new or need to learn to work with others.

“So, that being said, playing through the singleplayer quests with an NPC will become harder as you progress in the story as the content will become more challenging, and having an NPC won’t allow for you to clear the content or not even to enter certain content. What I would like players to experience through the Trust system is that they’re going to learn the basics of Final Fantasy XIV and the MMORPG elements and shift or transition into playing with other players like a buffer or a gateway to the game.”

Confirmed on EU fanfest and reiterated on the JP one. Trust will only be for ShB story dungeons.Where is this information posted that it's only for ShB dungeons? No, they aren't going to implement it for every duty and ruin roulettes/DF forever.
They treat the beginning of every expansion as a sort of reset on player skill, despite what we want them to. You also have to remember that there will be new people that will use story and level skip tomes upon buying the game to get to ShB, and that they would have NO idea on how the game's mechanics work. Also, iirc, the only trusts they have atm are the ShB version Scions, which only exist in ShB, and thus can only be used in ShB (specifically Thancred as GUN Tank, Y'shtoya as BLM DPS, Urianger as AST Healer, Minifillia as surprise DPS). And apparently the trusts you can take into dungeons vary by which are available story-wise when you reach that dungeon.Where is this information posted that it's only for ShB dungeons? I am totally for removing these insane mechanics. No I don’t want to drag my friends along for 104 runs (I’m so sorry guys hope you enjoyed the cupcakes) just because I want a particular piece for glamour and RNGesus hates me
Yeah I have to agree it's silly that these things haven't been fixed. It just makes it so certain classes are screwed to wait for DF.
Titan HM is a classic fight... leave it alone.
