    Constantly booted from game

    Ok, this has been going on for along time now and is getting ridiculous! I am constantly getting booted from the game after 11am central time. No lag or warning just a message saying i have been disconnected from game. I have had my internet provider come out to my house several and they cannot find anything wrong on the internet side. i actually built a new pc and it still happening.

    Its really bad in storm blood zones and dungeons, i literally get disconnected every 15-20 minutes, even just setting in Rhalgr's Reach.

    i got disconnected in Rhalgr's Reach once 5 times in an 30 minute period trying to craft, so I teleported to Limsa Lominsa and crafted for an hour without one disconnect. Traveled back to Rhalgr's Reach and disconnected twice just trying to get to the scrip turn-in person, and another 3 times trying to turn in the items i crafted.

    I have had an active account without interruption since before heavenward came out and now I'm almost to the end of my rope and about to cancel my subscription because of this.

    Yeah I'm getting booted from game and then 90002 errors over and over. I guess is DDoS stuff, but they need to fix it. I was in Rival Wings and dc'd about 5 times myself

    Just dced while crafting and lost super expensive materials. I want to break things.

    I have been trying to be patient about all this but since Shirogane I am getting random dcs several times a day. It's literally ruining the game for me. This has been going on for way too long now.

    Yeah something is going on with the servers for sure i notice ppl lag and get random disconnects all the time now.. they broke something.

    the DDoS was strong over the weekend in multiple games. I'm assuming ISP's are getting attacked again.

    Good Morning, and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Can you elaborate on the kind of disconnect you are having?

    Please provide:

    - When the disconnects started occurring
    - Platform (PC, PS4, Mac)
    - Any error codes or messages you receive upon disconnect (if any)
    - Type of connection (wired or wireless)
    - Other programs running while the game is playing (if any)
    - Frequency at which disconnect occurs
    - Where you are booted to after disconnect (Desktop, Start Screen, Character Select)

    What Server/Data Center are you on? It may be possible that going to more populated sections may result in the disconnections for you (by exacerbating existing connection issues), however this is only speculation.

    As for the DDOS attacks, unfortunately I cannot comment on these or their influence on your connection with the game.

    -The disconnects started around August
    -PC win7
    -90002 most of the time.
    -Wired connection
    -No programs running in background except occasional firefox to look something up, but then i close it when I'm done.
    -I get disconnected a lot, at least every 20-30 minutes if I'm just setting doing nothing. If I'm in an instance it happens 5-10 minutes and sometimes ill drop as soon as i log back in. If I'm doing maps I'll get kicked out every 15-20 minutes.
    -It kicks me out to start screen.
    -I'm on Aether/ Gilgamesh and there are no longer any heavy populated areas, our server is really dead since all the transfers.
    I run is max settings and still get 120-150 fps, i have also ran this in minimum settings and it still happens.

    Can you think of any changes that happened around August that may have triggered this?

    We do have some suggestions that may help alleviate this issue:

    Please make sure all background applications (including anti-virus programs such as Norton, Kaspersky, Windows Defender, etc.) have been disabled and/or closed to minimize game interference.

    Ensure that the latest version of Internet Explorer is installed on your PC (even if you don't use Internet Explorer), please do not use Edge as that is a different internet platform. Once Internet Explorer is up-to-date, please open the IE browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or to "Allow All Cookies"
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    If the suggestions provided above do not resolve the issue, then there is a communication error.
    Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that the following Port Ranges have been opened/forwarded/triggered:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

    *You may learn how to do this by visiting http://www.portforward.com/
    Find your specific router's brand and model number from the 'List of Routers' and you will be provided a step-by-step guide on how to access these port settings.
    Otherwise, your ISP may forward these ports for you.*

    If you have properly configured your router, and you are still experiencing these issues, our next suggestion is to bypass the router, and connect your computer directly to your modem. Please ensure that you power down both the modem and the computer for at least five minutes before attempting to connect to FINAL FANTASY XIV.

    If you continue to receive these same errors when you are connected directly to the modem, then the problem lies with your ISP. We would recommend contacting them and advising them that one or more of the ports previously provided to you are being blocked or filtered, and that you do need access on these ports.

    guess ill ask if my ISP is blocking ports. I have tried all of this and nothing worked. Does IE explorer really matter? I installed it try this, but this game worked fine for yes with it not even installed on my pc.

    For me constant 90002 errors since Stormblood came out and never got any before it at new location. Don't see no package loss when run trace route if I its at last spot before reach malboro server. All ready did what say to do years ago. Did all port forwarding about 3 years ago and use google dns. Game runs thru my firewall and its wired.
