    What the heck?

    I just got an email that My account got deactivated (I was on earlier too!) and yes it was an official email. My sub is set up to pay every 3 months and now all the sudden it just stopped, I figured maybe my old expired CC was still on the system even though i'm pretty sure I had updated with my new CC info, so I tried adding it again and got nailed by error 601. If its my bank/CC company blocking it why would it happen now when I never had issues before?

    I know I can't be at my limit, I logged into my bank account to make sure.

    No, cause I never did anything to be banned. (I don't bot, don't buy gil, harass players or anything that'd warrant a ban.) maybe it is my bank but I can't go till Monday.

    Also none of my characters & retainers have lewd names (though that would just require a name change over a flat out ban)

    Maybe you should contact customer support if you haven't already? I'm not sure the tech support forum will get you the assistance you need.

    This is a billing issue not a technical one, however, we may still be able to assist.

    A 601 error is a billing error, meaning something is interfering with your payment method. It can be triggered by a few reasons such as the transaction being declined by the bank, incorrect card information, insufficient funds or the card being used on multiple accounts.

    Since we cannot discuss personal information in a public setting, you will need to contact the Square Enix Support Center to get a specific answer.

    If you are having trouble paying for the subscription, you can purchase a Game Time Card (available on the Square Enix Online Store, Amazon, etc.). Since this is a code that you redeem, it will circumvent credit card blocks. Also, try not to force the transaction through, as multiple failed attempts can make the error worse.
