One is a healer..the other is DPS.

And i'm going to flat out disagree with you on many levels.

Bottom line. - they ARE related...Conjourer and White Mage share the same basic skills/equipment/stats across the board. Up until you get to advanced spells.
Its down right annoying for someone who misses side quests and to go back and finds out they cant do the quest without breaking their arm for a few minutes..assuming they can figure it out that is.
Thanut and Black Mage are the same as well...yes..Black Mage is a more advanced/deeper form of Thaunt..dare i say forbidden arts.

Now a Red Mage? That is entirely different...whole different tree..whole different set. They may have "similar" spells - but they are not the same spells shared with other classes..aside from similar effects.

Lore I can understand. But for the sake of players who are relatively new - trying to figure things out - well lets just say I can understand an Astrologian/Schollar not being able to do the quest - very different abiltiies....but a White Mage? Yeah..no - that's just crazy.

And yes...other things like Lancer vs Dragoon , Pugilist vs Monk - find...they are "different" - yet you can't be a dragoon without starting as a lancer..can't be a monk without starting as pugilist...well gee - I wonder why that is? Maybe its because you start at the basic form...and then go to an advanced level?

And how often do you encounter a level 70 lancer/pugilist? I mean seriously...who does that? And not survive criticism on many levels? I'm sure they are out at there..but seriously gimped.....at best.

Agen to us player they may be the advanced for, but on Lord they as unrelated as they have stuff together get, take off your stone and your nothing more then Conjure... I'm no talking about other player who play with out they soul stone the just plain stupid lol
I'm talking about Lord , just like WoL got AST,DRK,SAM,RDM,MCH with out starting class same could be done and has happened to other in Lord with MANY,DRG, WHM,PLD,WAR... They gotten they soul stone with out training on what we call starter classes... is just us the WoL who got lucky enough to train as a Conjure before getting WHM Soul stone then we combine are conjure knowledge with WHM knowledge is what I'm traying to explain... Yes to us the players is basically the same thing... but in game lore is not? Get me?
So according to the game lore Conjure is NOT a white Mage.

Wow had a hard time understanding drunk, had to get dunk decipher. At any rate, you have played trough the warriors of darkness story line right? *Spoiler alert * there are multiple worlds and the names for each job vary. In our particular world the WHM is an advance branch.
