You can buy karrak root (might be spelling that wrong) from the market board. Those are base food for your Chocobo. If your fc house has a junk monger they sell dyes, catalysts, and garden supplies. They will sell magic brooms for 20k if i remember correctly. You can also have your fc leader buy them with the fc credits. Feed ur Chocobo only when the stable is perfectly clean / sparkling for most exp gain. Of course there are fav foods and junk like that that you can also buy on market but they can be expensive.

Also i suggest taking your chocobaby with you while you run around. Not only are they great help killing things but you are leveling them too. Put them away in the stable and train them when you go to log off
