exactly one of my points.SE should implement more multi-part FATEs with a powerful boss to defeat at the end of them, with the fate chain giving good exp. Make it a better use of their time than running PotD. It is a shame to see such a beautifully designed world lying empty while everyone spams PotD to level 50.i know it's old content, but if that's the case why not just remove those areas entirely if they are not populated? Just such a waste on SE behalf. I hope they come up with something!
"I dont miss braindead train in (fate)"
I mean.. same goes for potd 1-10/50-60 floor spam? Potd has a boring enviroment and nothing much to look at.
Fate atleast was making that area on a certain level a bit relevant and moe lively. Now the sb area is more dead besides when theres a hunt.
Saying remove potd is a bit much when we are expecting the next version of potd coming up, and it’s content that’s already implemented I doubt they would ever remove it. Plus some people like it as crazy as that sounds I enjoy it for something to do when I don’t want to do dungeons and so on.
On the fate note, I don’t mind fates but depending on the server you won’t see people doing them much. I saw a ton of people doing them when stormblood launched but it died down. I think fates need to give more xp or something to give more incentive if you want them to be relevant again. (Or make another event like yokai...jk) it also comes down to its easier to find groups for potd over groups for fates, if you prefer not running solo as I do.
Removing (or nerfing) something that others enjoy is not cool. Rather add something to FATE'S that will make them used more often.
I agree, but to play devils advocate for a sec - why remove the playability of the open world? Many people do enjoy this and it was literally like a car without an engine - you can sit in it but can’t go anywhere. This is because of POTD. Since potd has been around a bit now sure keep it and I agree - devs do something to bring back open world gaming
I personally use POTD for DPS classes. I use roulettes mostly for tank and healer classes.
I grind fates all the time. This is my preferred method of leveling DPS classes as PotD falls off at 60 and fates are more efficient.I agree, but to play devils advocate for a sec - why remove the playability of the open world? As much as i despise potd it was brought in to address the leveling issue for dps due to how long the dps queue is.With Stormblood they added 2 more dps classes and no new tank or healer classes which made the ratio even more uneven than before. While fates are fun they are a bad way for anybody to level because you dont learn how to play your job.Atleast with POTD there is some hope of that.
I dont know if you remember around the Heavenwards release time and shortly after but there was a huge issue with people leveling to lvl 60 and not having the slightest clue how to play their classes because they skipped leveling through dungeons.
Fates need to have a bigger incentive but it needs to be one not based on allied seals or xp.That is the main issue.POTD shouldnt be removed but it should have the xp nerfed to create a balance in terms of what people sue to level their characters.
Having fates drop crafting items that can only be collected via fate completion might help... non crafters can sell the supplies, crafters can make stuff... especially if the crafts are housing , minion, or glamor related
Let's not. PotD is a perfectly good means of levelling up, and FATEs were just far too braindead for my own liking. That being said, I think FATEs should be adjusted to provide more exp for those that prefer that route, just so it's a valid other option. Or have FATEs that give meaningful longstanding rewards, and not just one offs that die after 5 weeks like Foxy Lady and Ultima.
