So since the Japanese Video that was posted with a time of 9:45, me and my static tried to get this lodestone entry and its a lot tougher than they made it look.

we tried their setup of 6 archers 1 con 1 gla and the best we did was 12:55. we then changed to 5arc 1 thm 1 con 1 gla and we got 12:26

Considering like 3 of them have alpine on and a know at least one of the archers has rainmakers, i dont think its their gear that makes them that much faster but I'm wondering if anyone else has any ideas on how to do this in under 10 minutes.

yea i dont know how they did this, from watching the video the person recording doesnt ever take any damage besides from momento and it looks like the king and mrd are on the gla the entire time, i dont know if they got really lucky and the moogles never called for help or if their tank is just that good, or if the person recording just is on the low end of the damage output but they make it look really easy.

Their kill order by the way was BRD BLM WHM THF ARC MRD KING GLA

Hmm, I think we'll be trying this tonight. Might as well have some fun and no drops instead of just no drops lol.

We've been using ARC x4 CON x2 GLA x2 in all of our runs so it will take some time for us to get used to kiting instead of straight tanking. Our current record with this setup is 13:06, so I really don't think this will be too difficult.

What party setup and strategy did you use? If you don't mind, would love to know how your group did it.

1 Gla, 1 Con, 6 Arc.
Use thunder on the glad in between combos for extra dmg, con nukes at beginning.
After momento did brd,blm,arc,thf,whm,mrd,king,gla.
Nothing special other than that, just need all very good DD and a tank who can grab hate from all moogles after momento. Then just watch for where king is and bind the glad. If all goes well should be able to do it. The other pt members BARELY got the win in time with 2 seconds to spare lol. Was 3 JP 3 NA 2 EU pt btw.

Anyway as Ruri said, everyone should equip Thunder and use it in between combos, especially during animations, or when everything else is on CD. I average 250 on Koop and around 280 on Ruffletuft with it, it's a nice chunk of extra damage. Needless to say but watch out for flares, no more than 1 death/raise should be "allowed".

This requires a completion of duty within 10 minutes, right? Not just killing the King first.
