Sylphs Tribe for bard?

Hello, guys.

I'm still kinda new to the game and i just unblocked the Sylphs tribe. I'm a lvl 63 BRD and I wanted to know if if i should just start with that tribe quests. What do they give? Is it useful? Should i start now?

Also, out of topic, do you guys know how to get the second flower icon (the newbie icon)?

At this level, the quests won't really do much for you in terms of experience. The story is kind of cute though and it gives you a better perspective into the tribe, and you unlock certain crafting items you can't get anywhere else, or that are harder to get elsewhere. If you max them out you also get a minion and a mount (land-only), so see if it's worth the time investment for you as, again, you won't really benefit from exp at your level.

Sylph tribes are part of a daily quest function where you gain the reputation of a specific beast tribe. To answer your question, they give exclusive items that can only be bought through their wares, most specifically an exclusive mount/minion once you max their reputation. If you want to know a little more about the Sylphs, while unlocking a pretty cool looking mount, then you should go for it!

On flower icon is for new users (leaf), the other is for returning players if that is what you're asking.

That would be the returnee icon you temporarily get after stepping away from the game for a while.
It basically functions as a way to let people know you're not exactly a new player but have been away from the game for a while and might have missed gameplay changes or just need to reacquaint yourself with the game.
I'm not sure just how long your subscription has to lapse to flag you as a returning player when you resub but I've just come back from a three month break and got the icon (along with access to the Novice Network).

As others have said, if you want to learn more about the Sylph beast tribe, then you can do them, you only start with three quests a day from them but as you grow your reputation you can get up to 9 I think it is - been a while since I've done Sylph quests. It is decent EXP for leveling an alternate class that is under 50(I believe that's where the EXP drops to 10k a quest no matter what level the quest). There are a total of 5 beast tribes(4 battle and 1 crafter) in ARR, 3 in HW(2 battle 1 crafter), and currently 1 in SB(battle).

Each ARR tribe can get to rank 4(except crafter one goes to 7), then there is a short quest chain to get them all to Allied(rank 8) status. Similarly with the HW and SB ones, except they go to rank 7/8 respectively.

For this, the sunflower icon is for people who took a break from the game(not completely sure how long it has to be, but I believe it has to be 3 months with no subscription) and then return. The little green sprout for all new characters(even if I made a new character tonight it would have it, even though I haven't let my sub lapse since I started in Mar 2015) just disappears once you reach a certain part of the story, play a certain amount of time, or reach a certain level(I think...not sure about this one).

The sprout icon disappears after you have played a certain amount of time AND have reached a certain point in the story. ( I believe it is 168 hours of playtime and finished the 3.x MSQ )

You get a really cute goobbue mount so it's definitely worth it if you want to take screenshots of your character looking down dispassionately as it devours/sneezes on your friends. Some of the later quests give goodies like cheap materia which you can slot into your gear for a little boost too, and slightly better experience. If you have time, I think they're worth it.
