Tech support forum is ignoring posts and closing threads

OMG the tech support didn't have any active moderators posting until 2 days ago, so at least be glad they're there now.

Most (90%) or so of the lag and rubber banding is an ISP routing problem and as such, SE can't do a damn thing about it, except, I guess, move the server in your back yard. These threads should be closed and the respective posters should address the issues with their ISP. Even in the other 10% which is affected by DDoS attacks, there is no active remedy for this. It will just have to pass. They're doing the right thing closing these threads. Im further away than most players on the US servers, and I've managed to get a good stable connection with them using a VPN which proves these problems are simply nodes being affected by DDoS attacks or simply routing issues with your ISP.

The tech forum for FFXIV has topics that moderators are now clearly moving to "closed" without addressing the concerns of the OP.

I just thought you all should take a look at how many of the topics that were trashed and moved there without even a moderator's reply.

Including the terrible lag and rubber banding issues that happen every night around prime time.

Yeah and about a good 80%+ of those threads are OLD threads from things like Bug Reports or other places on the forums where they didn't belong. Them cleaning the forums up so there aren't a million "FIX THE LAG" threads in General Discussion is a good thing. If you look at the last page on there, the topics are from 2013.

There is little point to keep those in the wrong sections where they don't belong.

Note, there ARE some threads outright missing - I posted a bug report that has disappeared completely. Not too worried about it though; it was very minor and didn't impact gameplay.

I suspect that the shuffling of topics is happening directly in the database, and a lot of topics may have been temporarily pulled out why they get sorted through.

This thread is still a thing? Look if you got an issue with the Tech Support mods then take it up with them. The first response to this post solved this thread.
