And the option to mute them from your channels is to add them to your blacklist. Just like how, on social media, you would set them to your “Ignore” list, or “Block” list. The feature is functioning as intended there. And the blacklisted player being unable to send you tells is a default setting—they can send them to you all day long, but they’re muted/blocked from your chat so you’ll never see them.

The option to do a sweeping mute of a single person is something only GMs have. I can already see the abuse potential if players had the power to mute/silence a player in-game just because they don’t want them spamming other people’s chats with trash talk.
