    Suggestion: Account-Wide Legacy Status

Just to put some history behind this suggestion:

I was originally a 1.0 player like many others, but unlike most, I deleted my character to start over fresh and from the beginning, unaware that said character would be privy to extra cutscenes and a bitchin' back tattoo.

As a roleplayer, I would very much like said tattoo for my character, yet I'm unsure the reasoning behind why SE didn't just mark accounts themselves as Legacy, or at the very least add the tattoo as an option during character creation/fantasia.

I'm kind of bummed I missed out on the Legacy-specific cutscenes too.

Figured it couldn't hurt to suggest.

The 'Legacy Mark' identifies that character as having been created in version 1.0, not simply for being a '1.0 player', hence why it's not 'account wide'. It appears that this flag is actually held client side as well as server side, as I loaded saved 1.0 character creation data of my 1.0 character into the ARR Benchmark program and lo and behold, she had the Legacy Mark there too!

Also not all 1.0 players gained the special 'Legacy story' and cutscenes/dialogue, only if you had specifically accomplished a certain main scenario task with that character in 1.0 (namely, passed the Lunar Transmitter battle in the 1.0 7th Umbral Era story). If you didn't accomplish this in 1.0, your 1.0 character only got the same opening as a new character when you start in ARR (and are even stated as being 'new' too). Despite having a strange tattoo on their back and a journal full of pre-Calamity accomplishments no one else remembers you doing.

And to confuse matters, accounts are identified as 'Legacy', but only if you gained 'Legacy Campaign' eligibility in 1.0, which was simply paying enough subscription in 1.0 when the campaign was active. From then on, your account has the Legacy Campaign logo on the character selection/character creation screen, regardless if you have a 1.0 character or new ARR character.

Hence, this is working as intended. It's unfortunate you lost your 1.0 character, but sadly in this case, the Legacy Mark was to show that character as having been from 1.0 originally, not identifying you as a 1.0 player I'm sorry to say.

It's been suggested before but it wouldn't make sense lore-wise.
John Firstchar did the events. Joan Secondchar didn't and thus wouldn't be branded or get any special notice. Just because Jack Realguy is playing both of these doesn't make a difference regarding the ingame lore.

As a fellow legacy player I feel for your loss, I really do. Unfortunately I believe this is going to be something set in stone.
