Not necessarily. You can also be level 70 and have no idea how a job actually functions. Just like I can be a level 50 WAR but understand the importance of needing to Butcher every once in a while if I notice a DPS creeping up in enmity, or the importance of using Overpower when tanking trash packs.

As I said from a psychological perspective people are more willing to listen more from a level 70 than a level 15. You are Correct a level 70 may not know how to tank never the less a person will take it more into consideration than someone with a lower level. IF the tank has a relic achievement, in this example an anima lux version of a tank job, I would be willing to listen even more being that it shows at some point there was some grind. Perception vs reality in other terms. Not necessarily. You can also be level 70 and have no idea how a job actually functions. Allow me to put it into terms that you would understand. Based on your achievements you have some relic Lux weapons. For DRK. AST , and BRD. From my perspective I would take into consideration your advice and comments pertaining to those classes do to your achievements. From a perception you would be more knowledgeable than someone that is giving advice or complaining who neither have them max out, or a completed relic.
Know from that same perception if someone has more Tank role jobs maxed out, more relic lux than you, or even more in progress I would consider their advice , as long as they make a logical debate and can back it up with actual facts or proven data if needed. Once again from an over all perception being that their achievements show more of a grind. IF they have past relics completed, it gives me even more of an impression that they went trough a grind giving them even more credibility from a psychological point of view.
In conclusion your not wrong at all, you have a valid point what I am referring to is that players complain too much with out really knowing or experiencing actual reasons on why a tank moves around, uses CD at specific times, have enmity issues , and are quick to criticize. Rather than actually being pro-active and doing the tanking role. Players either blame the tank or healer, yet based on sooo many threads most of them end up being created by players who neither play the role, have low level of the role, or refuse to accept the fact that not everyone is up to their standards. Hence my quote, people need to get out of their high and mighty expectations. If you notice people who actually support certain thread and make valid points, for the most part, show high achievements or actually main that role. Once again you have valid points...to an extend.
As for your side note DPS and mob management can be a hassle for people who really don't have that much experience in that tanking job role. That is earned through experience or through people that give advice...will people follow that advice, probably not. Never the less tanks have the capability to mark targets or at a minimum speak up letting people know they are not use to it. Will they do it, most likely no. Same can be said about healers, they won't speak.

Bad players in random DF dungeons! STOP THE PRESS!
Can I go to the DPS forums and make a QQ post everytime I out DPS a rando DPS when im on tank? My raid group made a bingo card to play while we do stuff. One of the squares is "Izsha out damages a DPS". We literally yell bingo every time. When looking for raid members over the years we don't invite them again if they get 'bingo'd'. At least we only care about that when were doing raiding.
Apparently I should also be fretting over scrubby performance in a stupid dungeon too and mak a thread about the 'New Norm' of DPS doing less damage than tanks every time I bingo someone.
Don't like your tanks? Be one. Don't want to be a tank? Teach them. Cant teach? Learn how to tank so you can. Don't want to do anything helpful? STFU.
I'd rather use Unleash than Abyssal Drain if I'm concerned about it not hitting all enemies, since it's far easier to control my own position than the enemies. There's also how it's cheaper, both in MP costs, and how it won't eat a Dark Arts, so I can use Dark Passenger for the blind effect.
Positioning to hit entire mobs with AD is just as easy as Unleash, the only time you're not going to hit them all is if you target one on the far edge away from the rest at the other side. Instead, aim for the center of the pack, AD has the same radius AOE as Unleash does. Plus the MP cost increase for AD is more than worth it too, 1320 MP for 120 potency vs 1080 for 50 potency. It's also extremely easy to DADP in the same GCD so using it up on AD isn't really an issue if you don't want it to be.I'd rather use Unleash than Abyssal Drain if I'm concerned about it not hitting all enemies, since it's far easier to control my own position than the enemies. I dunno about DADP, I can never pull that off without clipping a GCD. Maybe I was exaggerating a bit on the positioning to prove a point, but I still find it easier to line up an unleash than an AD, especially if it's that pack of dogs in Ala Mhigo.Positioning to hit entire mobs with AD is just as easy as Unleash, the only time you're not going to hit them all is if you target one on the far edge away from the rest at the other side. Huh, get a load of these casuals. You haven't caught onto the new meta of letting aggro split evenly on the party? This way, tanks can conserve health, CDs, and stay in dps stance. Meanwhile, all incoming damage is split evenly upon 4 (four!!) party members in a dungeon setting. Imagine the possibilities in a 24-man scenario. This makes it so the healer has more opportunity to contribute in the way of dps, because they no longer have to heal the tank as much. eHP, DPS, and mitigation all sky rocket to the game's limits, yet you all choose to limit it to one party member? Shame on you.
Get on my level.
