Perhaps a preview option could be added to the Aesthetician or a new summoning bell of sorts that lets us preview all glamour and simply lists where it's available; i.e. "Randomly dropped from The Drowned City of Skalla" or "Purchased from the Mogstation." The latter option would at least be nice in allowing us to try on any outfit in the game even if we don't actually own it yet.
Not trying drag this too far off topic, but I've thought the same with hairstyles. I wish that the character creator would show you all available hairstyles, and maybe just have a small notation advising when a certain style is obtained via other methods. Glamours and hairstyles can look so different between the races - would be nice to be able to sample before purchaseProvided it was implemented in a non-intrusive way, I'd like it since some things just don't go with the ideas I had in my head. I think this would be a nice feature to see mog station stuff in game before buying.

I loathe the Mog Shop and want it kept as far away from the game as possible.
However, since they already pull character data for the Lodestone displays, perhaps they could do something similar for the Mog Station- when you're logged in to the cash shop your character model is available with the same dressing room preview available in the game, so you can try on outfits in the shop itself.
I like that idea. Like a catalogue of all available clothes in the game. Knowing where it's obtained is also a great idea. That way I could include dungeon drops I might not have in planning glamour and farm more specifically, if I like something.Provided it was implemented in a non-intrusive way, I'd like it since some things just don't go with the ideas I had in my head. Wouldn't even need a new system for that, just add a tab to the market board.

I'd rather have no mogstation.

No thank you to in game mog station unless it is hidden by default unless turned on. No ads, no specials, no prompts. I'd prefer an in game preview of all dyes, glamours, emotes, and skill previews, even the ones you have yet to unlock and it tells you where to unlock it or buy it via hover. Nothing would be applied here, just a preview of what is possible.
The emote and skill preview thing would be a little window with video, showing your character doing certain skills or emotes with the currently selected glamours and dyes.
