Eeeew def not this game is not built for PVP. For one it is way too slow combat wise to even be considered enjoyable pvp. Also if you remember XI and how well pvp worked in that game you would realize this game is going to be no different. If you want pvp go play a pvp game, FFXIV sure as heck is not one of them.

Unfortunately for this post it is being added. There'll be a small scale colosseum form, and a mass battle form between free companies. I likely won't be too involved but.. I'm glad it's going to be there.

Besides, for those who don't particularly want it there's the reassurance that it's location-specific. So.. you need never so much as see it if you don't fancy.

As for on topic... that was pretty funny >.> I wonder if there'll be a 'hardcore' mode, as there is in Ragnarök Online's colosseum system, where the penalties ramp up to gear theft or such alongside scaling rewards...
