Lamb of Dalamut

Anyone know what's with this lamb of dalamut?
Earlier Alfgar was shouting again in Uldah about some thing
Then in end of Saphire Avenue some other NPC and an dark Aether node (like in Ifrit cave) pops. I try to talk to him but I cant do a thing on the aether

Too bad its gone now before i could screen cap

This was the dialogue

Alfgar: Hear me, one and all! Religious sects are on the rise, empowered by the fear festering within men's hearts! Ware you their twisting of holy doctrine and unscrupulous undertakings!

Alfgar: Have you heard of the Lambs of Dalamud, friend? They're a doomsday cult that have been making their presence sorely felt in recent moons. No other group do more than they to sow the seeds of fear among the masses. To hear them speak of it, one would be forgiven for thinking the Seventh Umbral Era had already begun.

Alfgar: As you may have gleaned from the name, the cultists worship the lesser moon Dalamud, whom they believe will deliver the chosen─that's themselves, of course─from the destruction to come. Sounds harmless enough, you say? Aye, save for the dark rumors circulating about them abducting townsfolk to offer as sacrifices to their god.
Alfgar: A distraught-looking fellow has been scouring every corner of the town of late, claiming the Lambs of Dalamud have made off with his daughter. The poor soul was at the southern end of Sapphire Avenue Exchange when last I saw him. If you're not otherwise occupied, mayhap you could lend an ear to his tale.


Addison: Help me, I beg ye! An evil cult's made off with me daughter! We was passin' this way, mindin' our own business, when a mob callin' 'emselves the Lambs of Dalamud came up an' snatched her!

Addison: I made to fight the bastards, but they conjured up an aetherial node an' escaped, crowin' all the while about how they was goin' to sacrifice me dear girl to Dalamud!

Addison: Gods know I would've given chase if it weren't for me blasted hip! I beg ye, kind adventurer! Go through the node an' save me daughter! Please! If I lose her, there'll be nothin' left for me in this world! Nothin' worth a damn! <sob>

It's the new ultra-limited-unpredictable-event-for-hardcore-camping-24 hours a day-people.
It's a new random event since the last patch about a new development in the Garlean threat and Dalamund. Unfortunately, it appears randomly every few hours only in town and only 16 people can attend at a time. Which makes the event almost impossible to get in for most of us.

I know, I remember I used to /sh at him because of my old LS hangout being directly across from him

I had the luck to enter the event, quite interesting.

The place was also nice (don't remember name - the one from Ul'dah) and the enemies while not hard at least they provided fun.

A few minutes after the event ended, a reporter (french!) appeared in the city asking about the Moogles.

So, as of today I can no longer complain about the randomness of the event ;_;

There's two areas it can send you too. Doesn't matter what city you enter from. It will either be copperbell or Mistbeard. Two lodestone achievments. One for finishing each area! Will spawn 2 times in a row. Starting at the hour mark and up to 15ish minutes it seems.

been camping the place in Uldah for 2 days now
well not full 2 days, but spent most/all of my time there crafting

It's a new random event since the last patch about a new development in the Garlean threat and Dalamund. Unfortunately, it appears randomly every few hours only in town and only 16 people can attend at a time. Which makes the event almost impossible to get in for most of us.

It's not as rare as these people seem to make it out to be. From the info I've gathered on the forums it always happens between 5-9am pst and/or 5-9pm pst and only spawns in the first 15 minutes of the hour. It is rarer in the sense that it can happen in any of the three cities(I'm looking into determining if there is a pattern to this now.) so you need 3 people to easily be able to find it. Also it always seems to happen twice in a row so if you don't want to camp it too long just show up at 6,7,8:00am/pm pst that way you only have to show up for those three hours and you will have guaranteed that you didn't miss a pop.

Unfortunately yesterday it happened in grid(only 4 & 3 people entered the two times) not uldah so you missed out on that one :/ I'll send you a PM in game if I see it happening since I'm also trying to do them(I got mistbeard just need the other).

The sign up period lasts for nearly 30 minutes (one of the event's many problems with length of time spent sitting around doing absolutely nothing). I had time to chocobo to Ul'dah from Broken Water and I got in just fine.
