Lootmaster:Should it be abolished

The problem is not the LM system. Having players abusing the LM system doesn't mean that it's bad.

Nail on the head, my static uses lootmaster for raid and are quite generous in handing out loot if no one else specifically needs a piece.

Lootmaster is absolutely fine, some players use it to scam other players, but that is an issue with the player, not with lootmaster.

I never join lootmaster parties because they are usually used because the leader wants to take a mount then leave the party.

When I do Lootmaster parties (very rarely), I as the leader actually throw myself to the back of the loot list (even behind those who join the LM-refill). So only after everyone else has their mount do I get mine. That means I often end up empty handed, but with the HW/SB primals that's OK. Why? Because for HW primals there's the token system (so after 99 runs, if I've not got mine, I'll buy mine with tokens), and I expect them to add that system back for SB primals.

these whole "loot in order of joining" lootmaster mount farm partys have no other purpose than that the first one (who made the party) gets their loot and screw over alle the other people.

if the whole "stay until everyone has loot" thing were true, then you would not need lootmaster - the order doesn't matter when everyone will get loot.

so i can understand that the second or third person joins such a group. but the last person? these groups should never fill, because the whole purpose of these groups is that the last persons will not get anything out of it! but it seems people don't understand that...

however, lootmaster has it's uses. but has no business in a party full of randoms.

As others said, starting your own group, or joining open roll groups is the solutions.

Why take away lootmaster from statics who have no issue with it? You're literally asking the devs to take something from someone. Why?

Everyone has an option, so even though I would like to get rid of it, there is no reason to. I think I have joined a grand total of 3 LM parties in my 10+ years of gaming ... only 1 wasn't a scam. I know of others who are less weary and have been scammed more than 20 times. So I mean go into LM parties at your own risk and understand that there are people that do scam others just for fun.

Loot master is for a reason. Some FC and guilds use point systems. It's an important too so that random person doesn't steal a need item when someone is using points on a weekly drop.
In this case the FC leaders choice in advance if X item drops then person X gets it.

It really can't be trusted in a random group of people.

Let people decide weather or not they wanna join a LM party. Don't go and abolish the whole thing. There ARE a few LM parties that have actually worked out for me. (Granted they are few and far between.) but I made the decision to join the party, no one forced me.

If I see "Lootmaster" or "get mounts in order of joining" parties, I treat them as red flags to not join them.

I mean, if you're good enough to farm the 99 totems of an EX primal and have some extra goodies from the instance, you could use the extra loot you earned for your other classes and/or trade them in for some GC seals (used to purchase sellable mats, Ventures, Glamour Prisms, etc.)

If you don't agree with it or think that is a scam, do something very simple , don't join.
