Prohibit the advertising of content sales via the cross-server PF

You need to report these guys. They are manipulating a system to do already prohibited activity. Make a screenshot, use something like Imgur to host it, send the link via the “Report Harassment” button under Support Desk. It is used for more than harassment - you can report cheaters, bots, and all kinds of things through it. You’ll help SE crack down on the behavior.

GMs have stated multiple times that they cannot accept screenshots and/or videos as evidence of any sort of “illegal” activities because of the fact that they can be altered. They can only accept in-game logs showing chat and any other activity since those cannot be altered.

If there is no real-money being traded, selling content for in-game gil is not against the ToS. The only thing that would be against it in that situation would be if the people selling the content actually logged into the buyer’s account to do the content. If there’s real-money being involved, that’s a different story, but for in-game gil, it’s technically not against any rules.

All this being said, the GMs can ban one group, and another will just pop up. This has been happening for forever, so it’s doubtful it will go away any time soon. I just ignore the adverts whenever I’m browsing PF.

Groups have been selling clears for EX/"Savage" content since Coil was a thing, probably even before that too. As far as I know most of them do it for gil which isn't against ToS. What they do is go into the instance you want a clear/loot for, have you die ASAP, clear it as a 7-man team, and if you arrange it beforehand let you have the drop at the end.

You're missing the point. OP is mostly talking about the cross-server aspect of these sale runs. With groups selling clears to people who have their character on a different server.
The question here is: How are they paying for the sale, without the possibility of trading cross-server?

The ideal solution would be to add a way to filter out such advertisements in the cross-server PF, but that won't happen anytime soon.

This could be solved (by the devs) by automatically hiding all PF listings of those who you have on your blacklist. Someone advertising house sales, FCs or content sales in the wrong PF section (any section that isn't Duty: None) could then be blacklisted to clean up the PF.

Disagreed really, for many raiders it’s our only income. Food and pots arent cheap, and if you’re not in the progression race team, chances are the FC isn’t supplying. I’m glad I did enough sales early on to bankroll me indefinately at least. I’m not a huge fan of potentially getting given Gil from some RMT bot, I don’t want anything to do with that paper trail :/

I’d be interested to see if they actually would go ahead with a coil sale tbh. Even on the safe assumption they will need to play your character, I strongly expect it’s going to be a significant amount of work to get the clear again. I’ve always chalked it up as a marketing thing more than a realistic offer

It's really not, especially by people who claim to know this game well enough to clear O4s/Ultimate Coil with only 7 people. Not to mention the fact they are intentionally mislisting this stuff under Expert Roullete and Lakshami EX. Its spam and the cross world listings are RMT pure and simple.

Dont have anything against run/clear sells, but hate when they spam their service in /shout or flood the PF that not made for it, its spam and not healthy for the game. Also this cross-servers guys looks like scum or RMT, or both, SE should start care about their game at last. The amount of bots, spammers and rmters is just atrociously big...
