I'm trying to take advantage of the Mount sale and I keep getting repeated 601 errors.
My bank is denying any declines. It is on Mogstations end.

The 601 error code unfortunately covers a multitude of sins so trying to uncover what is really going on is difficult, but my personal experience with this code at numerous times has been the result of the following:
Internet browser blocking a security script from running on the page when you enter your card/payment details (I had to disable Noscript and Adblock plugins in Firefox in order to get it to work).
Bank issue (I had just been issued a new card and when I activated the card at the bank the teller had mistakenly forgotten to remove a flag on my bank account that said a new card needed to be issued, which was confusing merchants when I tried using said card, thus causing the 601 error in the Mogstation. Needless to say a quick trip to the bank to get that removed fixed it).
Not enough funds in the account (this is more for those like me who use debit cards instead of credit cards to pay for subscription).
This is not an exhaustive list of possible causes by any means, but these are just the issues that I've run afoul on when getting the dreaded 601 error.
I also tried, 3 more times, unsuccessfully last night on a pc and again with a different card this morning.
I made other purchases on MogStation yesterday, only the Fat Moogle is causing the error code.

Error 601 when trying to make a purchase on the Mogstation can be caused by numerous things. Connection issues, insufficient funds, and multiple attempts with different payment methods. We recommend that you first contact your bank to ensure that nothing on their end is blocking the payment. Then you will need to wait a full 24 hours with no attempts and then try again. If you continue to get the error you can try to use Pay Pal to purchase Crysta and then use the Crysta to purchase your mount.
