based solely on their glamour options? I mained a MCH from HW till now and had never found a look that went with its weapon gameplay. Tried maining a NIN recently just because I love its gear set from Sirensong. Tried with WHM too because the Dreadwrym set looks great on an Au Ra, and now trying with DRG because I love the look of its i100 Astrum set.

Give me class/job free glamour options outside of artifact gear and I will go back to my MCH. For now though, aside from its artifact gear, the MCH glamour options are poo. IMO of course.

When I started the game a year and a half ago, they had (and still do) the lvl 50 AF preview for the jobs and I got to be honest, the only one that got me interested was DRG.

And yet I ended up maining SMN. I guess no matter how badass DRG looked, the SMN gameplay ended up trumping my aesthetics.

Not really, I choose my main because of their role. Later on, yes, I decided to level some jobs just to glamour them the way I liked and just leave them (Besides learning the basics). Actually, that was the reason I leveled all my crafters/gatherers in 2.0. I liked their class' uniforms so much. I got them and forgot about it. It wasn't until the last expansion that I got truly interested on crafting.

As a semi-related note, I'd love if they could include something like the Chinese version here. They sell you some universal glamour packs including the gatherer/crafters sets. Although I'd rather have an alternative where I won't pay a penny, something like being able to craft them in-game or get them with in-game currency (non-cap'd tomes/MGP/beast tribe tokens/hunting seals).

I used to main DRG(when I started March 2015) because, well, dragons have always been something I've loved, and though DRG is designed around the lore of being a dragon killer, it still connected me to that. I also loved the jumping around and dealing damage.

I wouldn't say I chose my main class based on glamour options, though I do generally like WHM and MNK gear a lot?

I did, however, start playing the game in the first place based mainly on aesthetics. I'd actually sworn off MMOs at the time, but when I saw that you could play a catboy this time (something that disappointed me about XI), and how good the gear looked in general, I decided to check out the beta anyway. And here we are, two expansions later and I've never let my sub drop off, and I still change my glamour every couple of weeks.

I've been a huge fan of Final Fantasy for many years, now, so I'd probably still have been hooked on the story even if it weren't quite so pretty, but glamour is a major part of what keeps me active, rather than just dropping in for a month when they release new MSQ.

Well, what really sold me on the game was the roe PLD in the ARR cutscene. My husband was trying to get me to play and knows I have a weakness for sword-and-board classes in MMOs. He showed it to me and I fell in love with the aesthetic of that race/class/gear so much that I decided to try it. I straight-up designed my character to match the PLD valor armor set. Even though I love the fact that I can play all the jobs on one character, PLD will always be my main and the valor set will always be my glam.

Not gunna lie Hyomin, that Aoidos set is sexy as hell and so is the AF3 gear. If SMN did not exist, I would probably main BRD just because they got style.
