With the hot topic of new races and what not, I was wondering if we could play as, well, http://images.wikia.com/finalfantasy...ngaa_races.JPG I know a few people, including my self would like some scales up in here. Of course they wouldn't be natives to Aldenard, probably somewhere in the east.

As I've noticed in FFXI and FFXIV every (playable) race looks pretty close to a human with few modifications, so, this could be the exception. I'm sure SE would also modify it to look more human, but either way, would be cool.

Agreed, Tactics and Vagrant Story take place in that world -- Don't think Eorzea is part of Ivalice lol. The world XIV takes place in is apparently very large, so there's a good possibility they can create brand new races for it, much like they "created" Mithra and Galka (among other races but they still appeared as humes) for FFXI's Vanadiel.

Maybe a Bangaa type race would be good... lizard persons of some kind.

I think dragons will be better than lizards anyway, Have Yoshi show some pics of dragons and demi human Bay!

I'd be okay with some sort of reptilian race.
They just gotta be careful with how diffirent they design them. You could run the risk of making it more 'special' than the other races.

That is true, well, i don't really care about that, I wont be one, but I know people will be like "SOMETH SOMETHING SOMETHING WHY DAY HAVE THAT? WE DON"T"

Bangaas are fantastic, but I do agree, they are suited for Ivalice. However, I do hope SE will create an actual non-human looking race for us down the line!
