quartermaster not working

So I recently joined maelstrom and I tried to do my chocobo quest, but when I talked to the quartermaster he told me I'm affiliated with another grand company. So now I'm unable to buy anything from him, unable to complete the chocobo quest and therefore, unable to use mounts. Please help !

Did you talk to the quartermaster in Limsa or another city? If you talked to the one in Gridania or Ul'Dah, that would be why it gave you the message.

You can look at your characters profile and it tells you what GC you are in. IE: twin adders (gridania) Immortal Flames (Ul'dah) Maelstrom (Limsa). Just go to the respected city of the one that you've joined and find them there. Usually new players join the one in their starting city.

As stated in a previous post, it may be that you joined another Grand Company. You can check which Company you are in on your character profile, if this differs from the Quartermaster you are trying to speak to, you will get that response.
