    And how do you know it will only be an animation? Do you work for SE? Did they tell you this personally?

    I don't care if they gve us jump for mounts or not, but jump for our actual characters is great. They could add depth to dungeons, instances, and the land itself. YOU might not think it's depth, but I know plenty of people that think it is.

    I mean look at Tera and Archeage... You can climb, swim, jump, go through platforms. Why can't XIV have all this? Because it's not Final Fantasy? Why do people say that? Jeeze, people say that about necromancer job too.

    Look at the time and age we are in now, and jumping still makes people mad. I don't understand that.

    Because unless when they redesign the maps they remove pretty much every invisible wall that still exists and the vertical movement still isn't glitchy (trust me, anyone who's fallen out of the map knows exactly how off the movement is on the z-axis) it won't have a practical use for anything other than to give the people who want Jump the ability to jump.

    It's also pretty iffy in Tera, this is why only a few MMOs actually utilize it, because the mechanics aren't the most solid things around.

    Because it's not Final Fantasy? Why do people say that?
    I've yet to see anyone say "It's not FF", considering I recall doing all 3 in pretty much every FF game I've played (including XI have some climbing style mechanics even if it was a CG scene.)

    well arent they redisgning the maps? maybe with jump in mind?

    Why does FFXIV need Platforming? Since when are MMORPGs a Platforming game? This is what I want to know. Also FFXI's Puppetmaster was originally supposed to be Necromancer as well as Necromancer being an extra Job in FFV..did you just make up that people said "it's not Final Fantasy"?

    I've seen a lot of people say leave it to other MMO's it's not a FF thing.

    I'm glad they are adding it though. That's all I can say anymore.

    Go look for a necromancer thread on search and read the people's comments. You'd be surprised how many people said it's not FF. Why would I just make up something like that? I'm not pathetic like the other people on these forums.

    I want jumping. Also mounts should only have scripted jumping. And only mounts that look as though they're capable of jumping. Give some perks over others. Like the Gobbue can move faster on marsh-like areas. Drakes can bypass most of Mor Dhona mobs, etc. Stuff like that would be interesting.

    Chocobos will be standard fare, but they have more accessibility over the world over a Gobbue/Drake/etc.

    Let's not forget that FFXIII-2 actually implements a free jump. So that excuse is pretty much thrown out of the window.

    Like I personally say, just because another MMO does something doesn't mean FFXIV needs to -- People get so bent out of shape when you say SE should use what worked from the previous Final Fantasy MMORPG they created and make it better, I never understood why it's okay to make FFXIV into a generic MMO that's been coming out since 2004. The only reason Tera or Archage has any hype is because they aren't just generic copies of WoW in a sense (more blatant example, Rift and SWTOR), they're actually trying something different.

    Even though it didn't work out too well for Tera though.
