    A Patch that brings life back to Open World

    Does anyone else feel that we need a patch that just focuses on Open World Content? Whenever I find myself traversing Hydaelyn I cant help but lament over how empty the world feels. Every Zone in this game is unique, detailed, stunning and has so much more potential than what's being utilized.

    With all of the games primary appeal being in the Instances: Raids, Alliances, Primals, Dungeons, etc... everything you do in the open world is more of an after thought then something people actually want to go out and do. Or it's something people do just to kill time while waiting for their PF to fill up or their DF to que

    I would love to see a new form of content implemented in the Open world, or even a revamp/expansion of content that currently exist: Leve Quest, Grand Company Missions, Hunts, Fates, Beast Tribes of old, The Gold Saucer, etc... Just something that brings a more appeal to this vast world of ours.

    Thoughts? What Updates would you like to see in the Open World that is more than just a quality of life change?

    This game is mostly focused on instances, the open world part of it is just for world building and visuals mostly. It's sad, yeah.

    Rare NMs that drop incredibly rare materia could be great. Materia could have effects like increase power of full thrust.

    I still think, that they should give A and S ranks instant respawns and let each of them them drop stuff once per day or per week. There would be always groups around that hunt them, it would be challenging, since you cant faceroll most of them with 100 people and it would solve all the hunt salt. They could always add new rewards over time to keep people interested in doing that kind of stuff (instead of throwing everything into the mogshop....)

    Riase FATE/quest EXP so that players don't feel like having to grind dungeons is the only option to leveling and you will most likely see more people in the open world.

    But then again, that would probably also raise queue times. But hey, at least you'll have the open world!

    More FATE EXP would be excellent. And I don't think it would affect queue times too much, because it's still probably the best "easy to leave quickly" thing to fill in time while waiting in a dungeon queue. Boost the EXP to get people more interested in going out to do them, but still make dungeons more efficient once you manage to get in.

    I only started playing at the start of this year so I moved right through ARR to Heavensward. Find myself really wanting to level classes from 1 just to spend time in the Launch/ARR zones but the XP is just so slow compared to other options. A flat bump in XP% in the below 50 open world would be nice.

    A active time event like the ones in Guild Wars 2 would be ideal. They interact with the world and are rewarding. Some of them give you relevant gear. The problem with big scale events in XIV, is that they at first crash the maps, because of the high volumen of players attempting it. Then, when they are done, it's dead content. It's a one-time experience for most people, specially with the token system and the fixed rewards.

    I wish that FATEs would give more exp, as well as having more multi-part fates (minus some of the time between them that the one in Azim does... ). I'd love to be able to practice on a healer class this way.
