So I heard that the Lodestone has an event organizer to it and that rather than an actual in-game calendar we'll have a feature added to the companion app that lets us schedule events via the app. I would like to point out to Yoshida that this is not what the community has been asking for. The event organizer only allows for organizing events that only friends or the entire server/world can see and join. What we want is an actual in-game calendar where we can set up events that are exclusive to our free companies and can view them in the game and have our free company members sign up to them. It's a fundamental feature that is present in many MMOs but for some reason not this one.

I agree. plus my phone hasn't worked in ages and I'm not able to get a new smartphone anytime soon.

I believe they're doing this deliberately to encourage more players to download and use their app.

It's a business tactic, not a quality of life enhancement.

Either way I am not going to use their "app". I do not have a smartphone, and do not want one either.

Considering the app has been in development hell for years and years now, it'll either be the greatest thing ever, or the worst.
