Well, maybe I'll risking giving it annother try then... After all, my credit card expires in March so there isn't much they can do to screw me long-term.Apparently, according to the Lodestone, the issue has been fixed.

EDIT: Ok, so it's let me in, but it felt a little strange, because nothing has hit my bank account yet. Is this the type of thing that doesn't last? We'll see.

Well, it's worked for me and I haven't had a call yet. BUT! My circumstances are not representative of yours unless you're using the same bank in Australia as me.
It could also just be the fact that my bank has now had this company come up a few times and since discerned that it isn't a threat... I suspect that to be the more likely case. Unless of course I do get a call in the next few days that says "we have put a stop on your card because XYZ concerns".
I also got an email from ClickandBuy saying they have charged me AUD $13.19 which is... interesting, because I paid in Euros and would expect by BANK to work out the conversion (that and E9.99 should actually be AUD $12.28 right now). So somewhat suspicious, but we'll see what happens over the next few days. My credit card is currently close to its (very low) limit and expires in a few months, so there is only so much I can be screwed.
I still want the alternative payment method, though.
