It didn't state adventurers (players) could tame just any beast, however -- it clearly stated you need training to do as such, and training always means a certain profession would be better at it than just any random adventurer fresh of the carriage, which is why I can personally feel that being tied to BST or Shepard even would have been a better choice for this.

I think the only way this would be possible if they add another module to the interface (kind of like what some MMOs does with their Help/FAQs/Tutorials menu option.)

Or they could just tweak the login client once you login instead of PLAY button change to please answer this survey click here button and make the play button in different location. If you already answered the poll to go back to original login client UI screen. That way they don't have to go through all the crap to implement in-game browser like feature on current crappy 1.0 system.

First off, we wanted to share a note from Yoshida that was posted late last night, in regards to him being unavailable for the past few days.


And as for the "special mount" that he mentioned... Hurray for Goobbues!! I've always loved these creatures. There's just something about them that makes me go "dawwww", even when they mysteriously appeared and owned me when I first explored the La Noscea region. I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!

Will we also have the drake mount or was it decided it will only be the Goobbue mount?

EDIT: Mounts are an awesome alternative to weapons and armours as rewards. Thumbs up to the devs!

The other reason Playonline wasn't as bad as people made it out to be...lol. What you explained was exactly what they did with POL and FFXI recently -- A survey on which platforms you played FFXI right as you hit the play button.

You know there was a period where dogs were wolves and yet I don't hear anyone saying buying a dog is unrealistic because you didn't tame a wolf.

Really, I'm surprised people are less okay with this, riding a creature that has always been in the game, than the cheezy primal weapons that I personally feel clash with the rest of the games asthetic.
