<<<<,Mrbiggelsworth. Leviathan. Yessir (or ma'am?). And who might you be? I love running into old XI folks.
I'd like to remind everyone that they're whining about a piece of transportation being unrealistic in a fantasy world where there are catgirls who shoot lightning out of their hands in bikinis all while under a moon that's actually a space laser.
Oh and there's a magic forest that is sentient and filled with elemental spirits.
And magic flying contraptions.
As long as you include yourself in the "whining", agreed, because you seem to went on a tangent because someone mentioned SE adding a class for monster taming, which is equivalent of whining over a mode of transportation, then you went into using an analogy about dogs and wolves.I'd like to remind everyone that they're whining about a piece of transportation being unrealistic in a fantasy world where there are catgirls who shoot lightning out of their hands in bikinis all while under a moon that's actually a space laser.

Shepard is already going to be added and if you really think it wouldn't have been a good idea to give a class the ability to tame and control monsters, then I guess you're the one that's against something "new" being added to Final Fantasy, not I.
(by the way, most MMOs give all classes pet control abilities, so if anything, it would just make XIV the standard MMO everyone wants so it can compete with others.)
An analogy about dogs and wolves you are yet unable to fully refute. As long as you include yourself in the "whining", agreed, because you seem to went on a tangent because someone mentioned SE adding a class for monster taming, which is equivalent of whining over a mode of transportation, then you went into using an analogy about dogs and wolves.

I'm not against new classes. In fact, I'm for them.
What I'm against is complaining about new content.
I said it once, I'll say it again, Sigfried and roy.......... Can't tame wild beasts, its in their genes
just go on google you will find more than one. A fantasy world must have basic laws of nature in it, branch off from there. Ya know, like gravity? Genes? Everything must be explained. That is why, the only way I will except this is beastmaster only
I never got the whole "It's a fantasy" argument -- yet Lord of the Rings is clearly fantasy yet it still had a realistic aspect to it -- There's fantasy of all kinds, it doesn't have to be a crayon factory game like WoW is to be a fantasy, even Ul'dah's opening shows that nothing is flawless.
Thus why a class dedicated to monster taming (aka training) would cement that idea even better than random adventurer a walking up to a monster and taming it out of the blue, since as someone said "in a world of vast technology and magic", you'd think there would be practitioners in monster training that can teach you (aka class/job unlocking) to do as such.
