For everyone on both sides of the subject ("I love this, can't wait to ride it and be all like "woo, yeah, woo!" and "I hate this, I would never ride such a thing! I can't believe they'd put a carpet on a goobbue!"), it's okay to have a difference of opinion. That's fine. But let's stop the personal attacks because of someone's opinion. Really, I'm surprised people are less okay with this, riding a creature that has always been in the game, than the cheezy primal weapons that I personally feel clash with the rest of the games asthetic.

Personally, I am looking forward to what is coming. The Gobbues mount will be interested, I wonder how it will actually function. One thing I think SE should look into are mount attributes. For instance: Chocobo, you run really fast; Gobbues, mobs up to lvl 70 will not attack you; Gnat (or whatever), ignore obstacle height. I do hope the next producer letter comes with an updated timeline (kinda like how they had a timeline leading up to 1.19) just so we know what to look forward to. I do feel bad for the dev's a little because we are gobbling up content faster than they can make it, but please please please please keep us in the loop. I know they don't want to spoil anything but I'd like some more detail than the .pdf timeline provide.

I would be more down with the gobbue mounts if they really did run the risk of going ape*@#$ on you and everyone around you each time you called one up. At least then I could see it being more entertaining than annoying when someone calls one to ride. Seeing one go bonkers in a packed level 20 camp would be hilarious.

On a total weird and odd note with the name of Biggs on forum and on Kashuan server are you "the" Biggs from Levvy FF11 server by chance (name of Behemoth King might make me think you are or I can hope) If so I know you /wave lol
