Diversity is fun, and having options is great. Not everything has to be unique to the series. And it's not like these mounts are "stupid" and I doubt they will just be handed to us. We will have some lore/story to it so calm down.

This is very exciting, walking in the perspective of a gobbue.

Yes, the people who don't like it because the Chocobo has always been the only FF mount can continue to ride their chocobo. You guys complained about the glow effect on the Ifrit weapons because it would be "too much". The moogle weapons are "too cute" and not "Final Fantasy". Come on now people can't we have a little fun? Is it really such a big deal that we will now have another mount to ride around on? I look forward to the addition of the gobbue, drake, eye, and magitek mount and am absolutely dying for 2.0 to release so we can have our battle companion chocobos.

The current devs have decided on a vision that is meant to appeal to a wider audience. Oh no here I go... Yes, the people who play World of Warcraft. SE for some reason has decided that it would like to make some money and I for one applaud them for doing so. Now where's my Roegadyn riding saddle my legs are tired from all the scurrying around. lol

Way to generalise -.-

I may dislike the idea of the mob mounts - gobbue for being an inevitable screen-swamping clip-fest and ahriman for just looking.. absolutely stupid as a mount in my opinion and being thematically insane, but that doesn't mean I or everyone else 'was in opposition to them is just leaping down the developers' throats at every new idea.

The Moogle weapons I'm fine with; they make thematic sense even, they're kind of cute and in most cases look genuinely nice. And the Ifrit weapons I am really, really glad of. Sure they look a bit ugly, but the developers made the decision to make their glow non-invasive and best of all only active when wielded. Not only is that a nice, progressive compromise and damn tasteful compared to the usual PARTICLES AND LIGHTS EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME approach, but most of all it looks fairly cool in and of itself and even better makes the weapons seem much more impressive as a result.

So.. yeah, lay off the.. what's the word? Strawman comparisons? Whatever it is, just because people don't have the same opinions as you on one thing doesn't make them a horde of shrieking franchise obsessives whose arguments you get to dismiss by default.

And you know what? Your Roegadyn riding idea is a genuinely good one. One of the (many) really nice touches in Mabinogi was that Giant characters were able to pick up and carry Elf and Human characters on their shoulders, and I'd love to see something similar here.
