    The game heart my eyes

Hi,i just started playing FF14 on computer not long time ago and after few days of playing my eyes started hearting me,getting red ,appear blood vesels on my white part of both eyes.I played another mmos but i didn't have any problems so i decided quit the game for few days and my eyes got better.Today i logged in to play again and i can't play, there are some zones in the game wich heart my eyes,i have to close my eyes for few seconds to continue playing.I visited an eye doctor but i don't have any problems with my eyes.Is there anyone else who has same problems as me?

That sounds strange. I'd say your monitor is too bright or some such, which is a typical cause for sore eyes. Or blinking too seldom due to watching screen light, causing the eyes to try. Etc etc. But since you can play other games on the same monitor (right?), that's odd. Which zones in particular hurt the most?

Have you tried tinkering with the display settings in the game? Lower brightness and such?

So, perhaps it's caused by the subtle movement of the grass strands and branches? Like the eyes constantly trying to follow the movement, straining them.
It's possible to switch off grass almost entirely in the graphics settings. The game will look uglier for it, but it might help in your case?

Good luck. If you find a solution, feel free to share it. Never hurts to know stuff like that.

If you're playing at max, try switching darkened edges and hbao off. Hbao tends to drive my eyes nuts with the fuzziness

When we buy brand new monitors they're always super bright. Try lowering the brightness and contrast on your monitor to more normal levels.
