What should i do with all my Allagan tomestones of poetics?

Hello, Forum! I have a question for you guys;

I'm currently a lvl 59 BRD that has already acquire the full poetics augmented (lvl 50) gear. So, after making some research I found out that the next gear to go to is the Shire gear, which is fine, but i have not entered to Idyllshire (lvl 50 main quests take an eternity). Because of this, while i pass the missions i have been pvping (Im about to get the full Maiko gear), but my Allagan Tomestones are already is 2000 (again).
Because I'm not stopping pvping anytime soon, i will continue getting those, so my question is; on what should i spend them? I will get to the 2000 gap again, anyway.

Oh! And, for any chance do you know what is a good opener for BRD in PVE and PVP?

So, check the other tab in Mor Dhona, see what's available there. You may be able to buy stuff there that you can sell on the marketboard for profit. Failing that, you can buy the ironworks gear, hand it in for grand company seals, and then buy Moonstones with the GC seals, to sell for a nice tasty profit. It'll all depend on your server's economy, what sells, what doesn't, what brings in nice profit margins, etc.

Do you plan to play any of the other jobs? You could prebuy sets. You can start collecting items for Anima weapon quest turn ins if you are planning on doing an anima weapon. If you craft any and plan to level a desynth, you can start buying stuff for that craft just for future desynth purposes. Getting Desynth high enough for that gear is not very hard to do.

Otherwise find a way to transfer them into gil.

If you like to grind, grind, grind, then you can get ready for all the relics(both ARR and HW), or you can gear up alt classes, or just find something in the "Other" section that sells on the market board decently, and buy those.

I've been in the dilemma for a while, been sitting on 2k Poetics since Stormblood came out essentially.

I trade it in for the i260 gear then trade those in fo GC Seals and use those for repair mats and venture.

Once you clear the Heavensward 3.0 MSQ you can trade poetics in at Idyllshire to get i260 gear and you can buy upgrade components for i270 gear.

I use mine to buy unidentified ore, which I then trade for grade 3 thanalan soil.

honestly poetics may not seem much in end game terms..but you'd be surprised how quickly you burn through the stack..especially when you start other job classes.
