Duty finder keeps defaulting to freelancer

Every time I log out and back in my duty finder resets to freelancer

I don’t want this setting on by default, because I que frontline at the same time as my partner in order to try and get in the same team

Is there a setting I’m missing somewhere that is doing this or is my game messed up?

Btw, my partners is always set to off

Freelancer? I'm unfamilar to that as far as this game is concerned. I'm not much into PvP, but can't you do it like you do when you que a dungeon? Just party up and one of you que it up? You should be able to, and it will put you in the same instance, together on the same team.

I'm going to say that it is a PvP thing, and they would put this by default to encourage people not to team up to try to alieviate any advantages one might get by doing so.

PVP can only be qued solo and while mine always resets to freelancer my partners never does

I know that when SB launched, the devs had automatically set the Duty Finder to set your PvP status to Freelancer by default, so don’t worry about your game being messed up. Whether or not there is a setting to disable that default setting though, I am unsure.

It should remain as your chosen status between logging in and out. It seems that your settings are not being saved. Try copying the folder with them in (I believe that you can also backup the configuration from the launcher) & save again. You should check to see that 'read only' hasn't been set on the configuration file, although it is unlikely.

Thanks for the info, but I’m on PS4 so unable to backup up the data like on the pc, got me thinking now that it could be just PS4 related, because my partner plays on PC, I might be able to test this out soon, because I’m getting a gaming laptop next week and have a PC license ready for it
