    As a Tank, it allows bigger pulls in dungeons due to higher HP and Defence, also, higher enmity gains due to more damage and thats not counting just killing things quicker in general.

    As a DPS, it allows pulls and bosses to be killed quicker, which means less resources used with tanks and healers to keep tanks alive and less resources used by DPS to kill packs, which means you are less likely to run out half way through, and your dps plummets as a result.

    As a healer, stronger shields and regens means you need to directly heal less often, which means more DPS and an easier time healing the tank.

    Basically, it makes content easier by making the healing, tanking and dps checks more forgiving, and this isn't just in dungeons, this also applies to EX primals and Savage and to a much much lower degree, Ultimate (an extra 40 stat points technicaly makes things easier, but you probably aren't going to notice it).

    The only other thing to then consider is mechanics in fights, and gear doesn't help there in regards to executing them, that's down to player skill.

    So really, they need it in the same way people need better gear for savage, to make margins of error bigger and more lenient.
