I actually find Au Ra females to be the most beautiful race, but like you I don't favor having a tail. Midlanders are also quite beautiful, and while most prefer the sexy proportions of the Highlanders, I am quite happy being the smaller, more feminine version of the two. I wouldn't ever fantasia to another race or gender.

Like the others have mentioned, you really need to meet Rowena if you haven't yet. Not only is she gorgeous, she is crazy wealthy and all business. There are other Midlander NPCs not living in poverty. They just don't stand out as much as Rowena does. Lore wise, Gridania/Black Shroud houses the highest population of Midlander's, and I believe it's because we prefer a more simple farm-like lifestyle.
