Hair! Colorful hair!

I would REALLY love to be able to have BRIGHTLY colored hair for my character. It might get me to finally change from plain white.

Right now we can only have dull colors for hair and nothing vibrant, not even carrot orange which is a real life hair color.

I'd love for hair colours to get metallic options. Since you can get almost metallic like colours in real life (of course, not a natural hair colour), so it'd be nice to have it in game too.

I think we need a larger colour palette in general, I find the current dyes and skin /hair options quite restrictive.

Um, I'm not sure I want to see radioactive hair colours in FFXIV ;;
I've never liked that aesthetic in other games (the same applies to clothing).

If they added one line of colour options for Vibrant Blue, Green, Red, Orange, Pink, Purple, ect that might be nice. A limited selection of vibrant bold colors

As awesome of an idea as this is, and don't get me wrong, you have my support here, they'd probably pitch you the exact same excuse they give all the other people wanting more character customization options (face, horns, skin tones, etc). "Nope, can't do it because technical limitations."

It's no real secret that this game has severely limited character creation options when put next to other MMOs of its own generation. I mean, running into someone with nearly the same exact look as you should frankly be against astronomical odds. It's not really even uncommon here though.

I blame Nier. I vaguely remember the game has more vibrant colors before. Everything seems watered down after it. Is it just me? Maybe they change something in the game engine, but I swear it was vibrant enough to make me buy jet dyes from MB.

That's pretty much a hangover from the days of the PS3 and honestly I can't see SE being willing to put the money in to correct that at this stage =(

I am mildly surprised SE hasn't considered allowing us to use general purpose dyes on our hair however.
