Haha... not even close when it comes to the amount of gil, but whenever I get a lot of hard earned cash, I end up sinking it in glamours.![]()

My new house also eats all my money. I only had enough for the plot when I bought it so everytime I earn enough for something new and shiny there goes my money so I never seem to accumulate more than 200k gils now.![]()
[sarcasm] If you REALLY want 1 million gil quickly, there's always a shady, generic Midlander Hyuran man in the marketplace who can direct you to certain... places. Don't worry if he keeps repeating the same line over and over, or if his face lacks any emotion or facial expression other than polite disinterest. He just really wants to help you with your gil problems! [/sarcasm]

I chuckled. It really is always the generic hyur midlander for RMT spam and it's always lalafell THMs for all the other shady business. hahahaha[sarcasm] If you REALLY want 1 million gil quickly, there's always a shady, generic Midlander Hyuran man in the marketplace who can direct you to certain... places. I was wondering what the hell the kk was in the title. Took me a minute to realize.... > x >

I really hope the 'kk' suffix isn't catching on with legitimate players....
Until recently I'd only ever seen it used in RMT spam advertisements...
M suffix, for million.
>.<;
I got 2 mil just from doing quests and duties to 70.

Definitely gotta go with Dyvid. Gathering is a great way to make some gil - it takes very little gil to get you going (the only thing you need to buy is gear every now and then, unless you have a friend who is willing to craft it for you OR if you have both miner and botanist up together you could potentially get the mats and ask someone to craft it for you for free or for a steep discount. Depending on your server, your luck may vary and the gear itself may be cheap to buy anyway). If you don't want to level all 3 gatherers, focus on botanist and miner as they will give you the most bang for your buck. Fish aren't used for all that much (mostly only a few culinarian recipes and sometimes for desynthing). Which reminds me, don't neglect your desynthesis skill. You can get some great stuff from it that sells for a lot of gil.
For miner, once you hit level 19 or so, you can start gathering alumen which always sells quite well as it's used in a lot of recipes (including leather glamour prisms). For botanist, many logs are always selling. If you level carpenter as well you can process those logs into lumber which usually sell for even more. Always be mindful of what materials are needed for class quests and levequests (even for miner/botanist as sometimes people are just too lazy!). Especially in the higher levels, for example, you can make good gil selling beech logs/lumber and Zelkova logs/lumber (especially HQ) because they're used for carpenter levequest turn-ins. Not to mention, botanist and carpenter can make a lot of furniture items and with all the new housing lately, you can make a lot of gil this way! Also, if you level all your crafters you're bound to make some gil but they can be costly to level if you don't take care of your gatherers at the same time as well or if you pick and choose which to level up rather than doing it all together.
If you're looking for easy reselling opportunities, I used to make a pretty penny on Tonberry a few years back reselling clear lenses. They were cheap to buy and sold for around 1k because people were lazy or just didn't know where to find them. Don't know how it would be these days, or on your particular market though. But there are always items you can do this with. It helps if you level your crafters because then you get a better idea for what items are used often across classes and what you might want to target in the market. Also, beast quests. You can buy items from beast tribes and resell them on the market board for more gil. Exclusive dyes too, if you rank up your reputation. Other viable options are housing items which can be bought from npcs as a looot of people have zero clue where to get these items and don't bother looking. Which is so strange imo, but whatever. One friend of mine made a killing selling chocobo stables. If you have spare seals, you can also sell miniature aetherytes (bought from the GC). A lot of people don't know where to get these or don't have the seals to spare. But it allows you to teleport to your house, so pretty much everyone wants to have one.
Using these tactics, I raised over 60mil gil in only a few months. I made a new character on my server in ...august? September? Well anyway, it was only a few months and I had enough gil for a medium house and then some by the time Shirogane released.
