Tanks in Feast - Does this happen to you?

I wanted to ask anyone who tanks in Feast -- specifically Dark Knights or Paladins -- if anyone else is having an issue with specific actions that are extremely delayed.

For example, when I hit Bloodspilller, it takes a good 3-5 seconds to actually work, despite my button-mashing. The same for TBN. I know there's an animation that has to play first but even with that in mind, it's insane how laggy it is.

I thought this might just be something with the class, but Paladin does it too -- particularly on Cover and Holy. Any actions that are designed to shield or silence, are much, much slower than the others.

Oddly enough, I also play Bard in PVP, and that silencing skill goes off instantly - as do all the others. So what's happening here? Is it just something with the classes?

    Yes. It's called netcode.

Mine not so big, it takes 1-2 seconds max and I'm playing with 170-230ms ping.

    Quick Edit:
It's all part of the Medium Course SE is providing us, we're training to predict the future and the well being of the races.

For some reason the server for feast is coded awkward, it remains me of how bad 72player shatter server was compare to how good 72player seize (seal rock). Shatter would have massive DCs when all 3 alliance fight for the big ice but Seize didn't have that issue.

I noticed that too! Playing Paladin or Dark Knight in other PVP modes doesn't have the delay (or it's not as noticeable). Just like you, I noticed it in Shatter but not Seal Rock. I just chalked it up to server stress but now I see that's not the case.

I wonder if this new update will help resolve some of those issues. I can only imagine it's the same -- if not worse -- for healers. There's nothing more infuriating than stuff that goes off after the fact.

Some skills have their damage applied when you click them, some after/near the end of the animation, prominent example is tornado kick or the rdm holy finisher.
Would it be fair if you still can cover a target only because of the dmg skill didn't finish the animation yet?
In other games you are still alive while not being able to use pots to heal yourself because you have to wait for the animation of the fireball to reach you before you die. In this game we can still heal the person up during that time. So every game has this to some degree...
I don't like it either but that is at least way better than 1.0 I guess

The vids in those twitter posts are pretty interesting if you want to know more about the delay especially with ast
