[Feedback] 3 Ranked Feast Quality of Life Changes

Hello, A few of us from the Primal PVP discord were talking about a few Quality of Life changes
for the Unranked to Silver tier. We feel these changes would greatly increase the Quality of feast and better ease
new players into understanding the mode.

Currently the only way for new players to learn the rules and mechanics for The Feast is to view the Online tutorial Sadly many new players que for ranked and a lot do not know about the online source of info.

    1. Make it easier for New Tanks/Teamates to understand the [Heavy Medal] Debuff.
New tanks and even new players do not understand how the medal system works, and a few do not understand that taking too many medals causes them to take more damage. I feel if it was displayed more clearly for them it would make understanding it a lot better. For example lets say your team gets a kill and the new tank picks up medals, a splash message (similar to when an item is sold in the shop) would appear on the tanks screen and fade away saying "You are now under the effect of heavy medal, taking X% more damage"

This will make it very clear to the tank that taking more medals will cause them to take more dmg. And over time hopefully they will understand what their limits are.

    2. A countdown timer for Medals dropped
Medals dropped vanish after a period of time, however many new players (and even some older players) do not know how fast that is and will quickly grab medals. I feel if there was a countdown timer (Only in unranked-> silver games) that ticked down it would help out greatly.

    3. Quick Chat Feedback
A few quick chat options which would be very helpful would be some commands to tell our teamates to not pick up Medals.
"<t> Do not get the medals" for example.

The "get the medals" command should be changed to announce a players name for example if your melee DPS is under 100 medals and you think it would be most safe for them to get medals you would just need to click on them and then press the get the medals and it would say "Rei Reizei, Get the medals"

The quick chat we have now feels very bare bones and I feel it has a lot of room for improvement if it is here to stay.

These are some good suggestions. As it seems they want to keep the quick chat for now, and as there already are ways to work around the communication issues, I wouldn't mind some more options. Your example is good. I'd also like to have:

    "I'm sorry"
"You're not in my line of sight". "Get closer to your healer" Something that indicates that a player is LoSing a healer or something.
"Burst ready/not ready" would also be good, currently people are using "Hello" for that.

Can't think of more right now since I'm tired.

I try to use "Collecting medals" and "Get the medals" as frequently as possibly to try to help the flow but it's certainly not enough.

I love all of these ideas. The message for new players about the heavy medal would help anyone new to Feast—moreso than any other tutorial from SE currently—to understand the basics of the game.

I also think Quick Chat options with <t> has been needed for a long time now, ESPECIALLY on who gets medals and who needs to stop getting medals. You'd think by eradicating chat, they would at least give Quick Chat better communication.

(Also, there's a Primal PvP discord?)

Edit: Also, along with the whole Quick Chat input, I think job/skill-specific ones would also really help qualities of games. For example: tether skills; sometimes people run away from a PLD's Cover because they've never seen it. So something like "Used Cover on <t>. Stay close!" would help.

Another common problem as Shiro pointed out was LoSing healers. And to go off of that, maybe something like an "advice" Quick Chat like "LoS the enemy casters/ranged DPS" would be nice.

At this point, with all the suggestions thrown at SE and their reluctance to change, I think Quick Chat is our best way to improving QoL for PvP.

I'd like to see them add a quick chat option for "Please assist!" or "Please help!" - like if your healer has died and the enemy team has dogpiled on you and you can't make it back to your base in time, getting some help to stun/peel them off would really help.

And maybe a sort of interaction "timer" to pick up medals rather than automatically picking them up? It couldn't be interrupted and would be really quick fast, but it would prevent issues like the one I had the other day where I was the tank, and the DPS on my team LB'ed the other team's tank while their DPS LB'ed our healer. I was casting the tank limit break at that very moment when the Warrior died right on top of me and I automatically got his truckload of medals because of the animation lock. And we lost because of that. It was frustrating because I couldn't tell my team what happened.
