Hello, A few of us from the Primal PVP discord were talking about a few Quality of Life changes
for the Unranked to Silver tier. We feel these changes would greatly increase the Quality of feast and better ease
new players into understanding the mode.
Currently the only way for new players to learn the rules and mechanics for The Feast is to view the Online tutorial Sadly many new players que for ranked and a lot do not know about the online source of info.
1. Make it easier for New Tanks/Teamates to understand the [Heavy Medal] Debuff.
New tanks and even new players do not understand how the medal system works, and a few do not understand that taking too many medals causes them to take more damage. I feel if it was displayed more clearly for them it would make understanding it a lot better. For example lets say your team gets a kill and the new tank picks up medals, a splash message (similar to when an item is sold in the shop) would appear on the tanks screen and fade away saying "You are now under the effect of heavy medal, taking X% more damage"
This will make it very clear to the tank that taking more medals will cause them to take more dmg. And over time hopefully they will understand what their limits are.
2. A countdown timer for Medals dropped
Medals dropped vanish after a period of time, however many new players (and even some older players) do not know how fast that is and will quickly grab medals. I feel if there was a countdown timer (Only in unranked-> silver games) that ticked down it would help out greatly.
3. Quick Chat Feedback
A few quick chat options which would be very helpful would be some commands to tell our teamates to not pick up Medals.
"<t> Do not get the medals" for example.
The "get the medals" command should be changed to announce a players name for example if your melee DPS is under 100 medals and you think it would be most safe for them to get medals you would just need to click on them and then press the get the medals and it would say "Rei Reizei, Get the medals"
The quick chat we have now feels very bare bones and I feel it has a lot of room for improvement if it is here to stay.
