I think at this point, Balmung tends to have more activity at any given time than the other highest population.

From what I understand is that Leviathan is pretty damn near close to rivaling us, at least from the last Lucky Bancho which in the end is only a ballpark figure. There are several servers that are running into character creation locks and pushing the limits now, so we may soon see a Balmung unlock. That said it'll happen when it happens and not a moment sooner. As much as certain aspects are impacted, we can only wait until it's safe for SE to lift it. They proved that it will happen with the unlock of Gilgamesh, we just have to hold out for a bit longer.

Well, I for one am unaffected. I don't get what the fuss is about, but eh, it's just me. I know why some people have issues finding people to roleplay with. Attitude and how people are treated plays a big part of it. But if it's really that big of an issue, take the advice of some of the people on here and transfer servers. Sometimes it's great to start in a new place with new people.

How're things looking with the census? I heard people say there're several worlds more populated than us at this point, both with active and inactive charas.

Balmung has the least amount of created characters, while goblin has the most i believe. You would hardly say that goblin is more populated than balmung now, would you?

They would definitely have to wait till after 4.2 to even consider unlocking Balmung. Yes Levi is close in active population but that will most likely change come patch day, where we're most likely to see a population resurgence.

On these forums, it is actually preferred to post in older threads vs starting new ones. The community reps will regularly post in old threads when there are updates. This is also the case on the JP section, where posts will stay active for years vs a new one popping up every time one leaves the front page.

I'm starting to think Balmung players that are whining about this believe that you can make omelettes without breaking eggs or that you can get meat without killing animals.

Maybe instead of crying and expecting results that will never happen, that energy could be spent promoting group migration to low-pop servers and advertising some of the more positive aspects of those servers like "available housing" or "PG-rated Ul'dah". Something like that.

Trust me when I say that they don't. Getting tired of seeing my server attacked because a few people who lack sense make threads on the official forums asking for the server to be unlocked.

Well he kinda had to post here after being shut down on the RPC. And Balmung's still locked and RP isn't "dead" or "dying from fragmented servers" like he'd said last year. I wish the Balmung stereotyping would end too. I bet most of the people have never even played on the server. >_>
