Petition to Lift Balmung Server Lock / Impact of Server Lock on FFXIV RP Community

He simply wants it open now and refuses to accept any reasoning. He's just crying and throwing around "fallacious arguments" so that he doesn't have to actually come up with anything himself. This is an attention topic of someone stomping their feet for something and shutting everyone down. Just need to let him have his temper tantrum because he refuses to accept how things around or the options ahead of him. He wants what he wants, he wants it now and he's willing to hide behind whatever pseudo reasoning he's come up with.

Only on the internet would a tautological argument deplete of foundation and evidence (i.e. - SE IS SE AND IS RIGHT BECAUSE IT IS SE AND SE SAYS SO) be confused with "reasoning" or construed as "opinion."

I can only point back to the arguments made in the OP, which have not been rebutted or addressed in any meaningful capacity (don't worry - it's because the arguments are sound and raise valid points).

You've presented nothing to support them, you're literally fear mongering without any proof that anything you've said is actually happening. By all means, if you want to provide arguments on substantial loss of subs or the viability of the RP communities then bring some data along to support your arguments. SE has no need to show you proof nor to humor you and your disbelief. They've shown with Gilgamesh reopening that they aren't just perma locking but waiting for the right time.

That's funny. I've yet to see a single substantive response that amounts to something greater than, "SE is SE and says server is over-populated, and they are right because they are SE, and SE will determine when the server is unlocked." The only thing that line of reasoning pokes holes into is itself. I can only point to the arguments made in the OP so many times. They are very simple to observe (especially the complete non-existence of server stability problems at the present time).

We are consumers. SE is a business; not a dictatorship. Businesses listen to the suggestions and expectations of consumers. The logic of some folks in this thread defeats the very purpose of a forum.

Your arguments are not sound. Multiple holes have been poked in all of them. Your delusion here is troubling - either you believe these things or you're dishonest enough to act like you do, neither points to a realistic and grounded worldview.

I won't waste any more of my time on this, I feel like I've already won because you stopped respomding to my posts (which have avtual points backed by logic and reason) which I take as your recognition that I've proven you wrong.

I will say this though - SE by default has valid opinions on all things related to this game even when we don't like them. It belongs to them, not us. When they take our opinions and thoughts to heart and allow us to help shape things it's amazing but every instance of that is a charity on their part. They don't need to listen to us, plenty of people will play this game either way.

Our logic is perfectly sound. It seems to be you that is having a hard time grasping the idea that SE gets to call the shots, whether or not we agree. Yes, they are a business, and they do want to keep customers happy, however that does not mean that they have to implement every single demand their player base presents to them.

If and when they want to unlock Balmung, they will do so.

If you are not a troll, next time I would suggest approaching the thread in a far less dismissive and combative manner. The forums are there to open up conversations, which will bring in viewpoints of all types. Shooting down anything you don't agree with as a "fallacious argument" does absolutely nothing but make you look like a 10 year old who is trying to have an adult conversation and failing.

I don't think he'll agree with anything unless it is for unlocking Balmung and its from a Balmung player, tbh. The other worlds are getting some population growths...but they aren't nearly as important as Balmung, if you listen to threads like these.
