I think it would be neat to have some fights, not all, that require different setups, and not have them base around the standard setup.

So what happens to founded statics? "Sorry I know you chose those jobs because you love them, but one of you is going to have to get an alternate gear set because we can't take our normal group into the new content."
The role make-up of a party can be creatively stifling, but it definitely does more good than harm.
So required was a tad extreme, so let us say it would be cool if certain encounters favored different role setups.So what happens to founded statics? Founded statics that wish to would have to adapt, I am not asking for every fight to have varying rules regarding setup, but some fights that favor having maybe three tanks would be neat. Or certain fights that have hard dps checks and is more mechanics based so maybe you can forgo having two tanks and replace them with another dps.
Variety is the spice of life. While poor explains, I am not a encounter designer I am sure SE could come up with some interesting encounters that break the mold a tad. Also while I have not raided with a static in FFXIV, though when I did raid back in WoW it was expected for people to get comfortable with different roles since throughout the raid a certain encounter may require a different setup.
Granted it has been a decent amount of time since I last raided in WoW, and since I do not raid with a static in FFXIV so I do not know the expectations the raiding community has on players. In the end I do not think statics would die if certain encounters favored certain role setups.
