Perform via a Midi Controller?

Here's something out of left field.

I'm a DJ/Music producer so I happen to have a number of Midi instruments (Akai APC Mini, Oxygen 25, Korg Nano...) and I had a thought to make them work via Bard's new perform ability.

I'm utilizing a Midi to Keystroke translation software (Bomes Midi Translator Classic) on my APC Mini. I have it setup for the presses on the pad to equal 1-9 in keystrokes.

Test it on a notepad software and everything works A-OK... open up the game and it refuses to recognize the keypresses. I'm going to assume this is a function of the game trying to limit outside game programs controlling keys for obvious reasons but I thought I'd ask here if anyone else has any thoughts.

Yep that was exactly what I had setup and it wasn't working. I found out why though. Bome needs to be ran as administrator (I feel the dumb)
