Can I do low-level dungeons as a Scholar?

I ask because as of now, I am having a hard time getting into Sastasha for the main quest.
I have all languages selected, yet, I can be queued for an hour and yield no results.

(Playing Arcanist [Lv. 22] atm...as I mistakenly believed them capable of queuing as a healer)

So the long queue times I attribute to being a DPS role.

I thought about making a Conjurer quickly so I could queue as a Healer and enjoy faster joining-rates, however, I don't really 'WANT' to play a Conjurer. Especially to get past one quest.

So I was wondering if I level my Arcanist up to being a Scholar (if it's even possible..not sure if it will be locked behind the main quest I have yet to complete), will I be able to queue for Sastasha as a healer? Or does level-sync affect class/jobs too?


Sorry for the convoluted question. I'm sure there was a simpler way to ask, but I'm quite scatter-brained at the moment.

Scholar will be locked behind main story progression.

You'll have two more dungeons and one trial to clear before you'll be able to unlock SCH. Once unlocked, though, you're perfectly able to queue lower level content. Instances simply sync down your stats/skills, so you would effectively just be an Arcanist with a fairy for the first few dungeons.

Unfortunately you will not be able to unlock Scholar (SCH) before finishing Sastasha.

One of the requirements to unlock SCH is to finish the "Sylph-management" Main Story Quest.
This quest will be unlocked along the story after you finish the Sastasha, Tam-Tara, and Copperbell Mine Dungeons, and The Bowl of Embers (Ifrit).

My best suggestion is for you to be a member of Free Company and ask for internal help from fellow players. I believe the community is there to help you out.

I just thought about something: do you use Duty Leveling Roulette or try to queue through Duty Finder?
I would strongly suggest for Roulette - with your level you'll get Sastasha almost instantly as many people get it in DR. On the other hand, literally no one is doing low level dungeons through DF and this may be a reason for your extremely long queue times.

Sastasha being the first, they'll not have any roulette unlocked at that point. Regardless, the roulette pairs with players queuing for particular instances, and will fill the queue for Sastasha in time.
