In so much as ACT is against TOS and the vast majority of Raiders still utilize it openly to evaluate their performance while SE turns a blind eye as long as you're not harassing others.

There's a lot of items in the TOS which are basic 'cover our butts' things and other items that are in there that are more "spirit of the law" items. In this case, that automation is spiritually meant to cover things like movement bots for mass gathering (which notoriously even the bots that use teleport warps don't get banned). I find it highly unlikely that they would invoke this ban for the specific use to script songs for the Performance system. Also in that, it's very difficult for them to prove that you were using a utility that sends keystrokes to the game as they are simply emulating actual keypresses. They would have to go through a lot of work to make that case and for something like the perform system that doesn't give any inherent benefit to the player it's unlikely that they would care to persue it.

However... it's still a "use at your own peril" kind of thing.
