I'm not saying this is a bad idea, but how do you determine who gets to invite someone, and how many? If every "active" player on Balmung got one free invite, and even if only half of the players took that free invite (but let's be real, a portion would be selling their invites on the side), going by the unofficial census numbers, you'd get an additional ~7,500-10,000 players. Given that your ~20,000 players currently is too much for the server, how do you think that's going to play out?

You can't do it for one person because they really want it without giving the same chance to everyone else.

This, though. I don't understand why they don't still allow current accounts to make new characters, but I guess it's something to do with their back-end coding.
