More importantly... I need more hotbars to properly utilize the feature... please give me performance bars, I utilize all 10 provided hotbars for various class changes, markers, waypoints, emotes, minion/chocobo/mount features

An extra performance hotbars UI is needed or bard will stop being a useable battle-class for me as I turn full.... bard

You can utilize the hotbar storage of unused classes (for example Archer) and use a macro to swap between them. For example, the following macro swaps hotbars 1-3 between Archer and Bard (using Lancer's hotbar #1 as a buffer):

/hotbar copy brd 1 lnc 1
/hotbar copy arc 1 brd 1
/hotbar copy lnc 1 arc 1
/hotbar copy brd 2 lnc 1
/hotbar copy arc 2 brd 2
/hotbar copy lnc 1 arc 2
/hotbar copy brd 3 lnc 1
/hotbar copy arc 3 brd 3
/hotbar copy lnc 1 arc 3

Executing it once will swap out your BRD 1-3 bars for your ARC 1-3 bars. Then you can set up your performance actions on them. Executing once more will swap back, storing your performance actions on ARC and bringing back your BRD combat actions. Obviously you can modify the macro for whatever bars you want to use.

You can turn it off with the "Other PCs" bar under Sound Settings.

I wonder if its going to get removed eventually. I'm going to bet its only a matter of time until SE gets sued by Metallica or some other over zealous "defender" of music rights as well.

They won't sue as they can't really have much of a case since this would be classified as a cover and sounds nothing like the original material.

Square's apprently scared of it since they stated they can cut you from FFXIV over it.

My guess is their lawyers made them include it just to cover their butts in case some record company is feeling particularly litigious. I highly doubt that SE is going to waste resources actively looking for people doing cover songs. As long as no one blatantly rips off a major artist and posts a recording of it online or something and then someone sees it and kicks up a stink about copywrite, I really don't see SE taking any action at all.

I don't see why they added this in the first place if they were so worried about it. It just seems like a waste of resources to implement it into the game only to remove it due to fear of getting DMCA notices.
