Perform: what are your initial thoughts?

Honestly I'd have just preferred hunting down new song roles that were specifically for the lute of current FFXIV songs. Click a thing, watch the bard strut his stuff. I love music and all, and I love the game. I Don't want the music to become a game.

I'm with you on that. I absolutely loooved music making/playing in Archeage (MML style). It was fun to get together with friends to play multi-part songs, or play some songs while you're roaming the lands on your donkey.

GW2/XIV can be fun, I'm just partial to the other style. :X
